Report on Branch Facility (Alpha)

Location: 10 miles NNW of Branch, NY in the Catskill State Park region.

Description: Alpha is approximately 1km on a side with barracks for a maximum of 300 people. Buildings are made of corrugated steel with the exception of some canvas tents on the SW perimeter. Defences consist of a perimeter fence, aprox. 3m high and electrified, with wooden guard towers every 200m, aprox. 10m in height. Towers are manned by 2 people at all times, one with an M-16 or equiv. and one with M-60 or equiv. Night vision gear is evident. Aprox. 30m behind perimeter fence there is a series berms, likely designed to be vehicle barriers as wells making visual reconnaissance more difficult. This represents the MLR. Unmanned during day to day operations. Brush has been cleared out to 150m around fence and aiming stakes are in evidence. Interior layout consists of living quarters in the SW corner with secondary fence (A) around quarters. These barracks consit of aprox. 70 small shacks, each about 3m square, seperarated from its neighbors by 1m. Secondary fence A is aprox. 3m in height. Single gate leads to administrative area in SE corner where single entrance road is. Buildings in administrative area are of better construction than barracks. Northern section of Alpha is set up as a firing range. A secondary fence (B) surrounds this section of the camp as well, about 3m tall. Range is configured to fire north, with the northern berm serving as a backstop. Range is appropriate for automatic rifle training, about 250m in length. Between the administrative buildings and the firing range, on the east side of the facility is a series of berms and empty buildings. This is likely an close combat training area. The center of Alpha is a collection of berms surrounding the radio facility and command facility.

Activity: Alpha is currently inhabited by aprox. 100 humans and 3 vampires, identified by their lack of body heat. Barracks area is currently uninhabited, all subjects are living in the administrative quarters. The barracks, close combat area, and firing range are currently not being used and no work has been done on these areas for five days. Currently facility is understaffed defensively, only 50% of towers are manned during the day, 100% at night. Vampires are assumed to be serving in a leadership role, but close observation is very difficult at night.
